How it works.

You pay an initiation fee to join, then monthly dues, at planned founding rates.

STEP 01 · WEAR

A serious watch on your wrist, and a different one each quarter.

You choose each piece from your tier’s rotation.

  • Try a diver, a dress watch and a chronograph before you commit to one
  • Reserve next quarter’s piece in the member app
  • Your next watch arrives, and the last one goes back, by insured armored courier

STEP 02 · CREDIT

Half of every payment goes to your Vault.

Your Vault holds purchase credit toward a watch from the Club.

  • $1,250 credited when you join Steel
  • $250 credited with every $500 monthly payment
  • $3,000 a year on Steel, up to $18,000 a year on Rare Gem

STEP 03 · KEEP

Buy any watch from the Club at cost + 15%.

The price of any watch is what the Club paid for it, plus 15%.

  • Your Vault credit applies to that price

Questions.

Where a term is not set yet, the answer says so. Final terms will be published before the first members join.

What is my Vault?

Your Vault holds your purchase credit. Half of your initiation fee and half of every month’s dues are credited to it, and it applies when you buy a watch from the Club at cost + 15%.

What kind of credit is Vault credit?

Purchase credit toward a watch from the Club. It is not a deposit and not an investment. What happens to it if you leave will be set out in the final terms.

How does the quarterly swap work?

Before each quarter you reserve your next watch in the app, from the pieces available in your tier. The new watch is delivered, and the one you were wearing is returned, by insured armored courier.

What does cost + 15% mean?

The price of any watch is what the Club paid for it, plus 15%. An average Steel watch costs the Club $20,000. Members buy it for $23,000.

Can I buy a watch before my Vault covers it?

Yes. Your Vault credit applies to the price and you top up the difference. A Steel member in month 30 has $8,750 of Vault credit, so an average Steel watch at $23,000 needs a top-up of $14,250.

How long until Vault credit alone covers a watch?

For an average watch in your tier, at planned founding rates: 87 months on Steel, 108 on Gold, 79 on Platinum and 69 on Rare Gem. The calculator above shows any month.

Who checks and services the watches?

A third-party expert verifies every watch before it reaches your wrist. Watchmakers inspect and service the watch you are wearing at no extra cost.

Is there an application?

Yes. Every applicant completes an identity and background check. Its fee is passed through at cost.

Are these prices final?

No. They are planned founding rates and may change before launch.

Can I cancel, and where does the Club operate?

These terms are not final. Cancellation, what happens to your Vault credit if you leave and the locations served will be set out in the final terms, published before the first members join.

What happens after I join the waitlist?

Nothing, until founding membership opens. Then we email you. There is no account to create and nothing to pay.

Is the Club connected to the watch manufacturers named on this site?

No. The Grail Vault Club is independent. Watch names identify example references only.

Put your name down.

Leave your email address and we will write when founding membership opens.

Joining the waitlist costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Rates are planned founding rates, and final terms will be published before the first members join.
